In 2025, American University Kyiv (AUK) is opening new horizons for Ukrainian students. In partnership with Creditwest Bank Ukraine, the university is launching an educational loan program for bachelor's and master's degree programs, which allows students to obtain a prestigious American education in Ukraine.
How does it work?
The program offers favourable terms tailored to different education levels:
- Bachelor's degree programs - 9.99% per annum, loan term - up to 60 months (4 years of study + 1 year after graduation).
- Master's degree programs - 13.99% per annum, term - up to 36 months (2 years of study + 1 year after graduation).
In each option, students can break down the costs over the entire period of study, paying for their education in instalments in the form of monthly payments.
This is convenient, affordable and allows families to maintain financial stability.
Why is this important: the US experience
The US student loan system is one of the largest in the world. Approximately 43 million Americans have student loans, with a total value exceeding $1.6 trillion. For most young people in the US, student loans are a common way to invest in their careers.
At the same time, the American market shows that access to credit must be balanced and transparent. Successful examples are those where payments are spread out over time and interest rates are moderate. These are the principles behind the AUK model: it allows students not only to study, but also to plan for the future.
Prospects for Ukraine
The launch of this initiative is significant not only for students, but also for the entire higher education system. It shows that quality education can become truly accessible if the state, the financial sector and universities work together.
"The program launched by Creditwest Bank and AUK is a step towards creating a civilised market for educational loans in Ukraine, which will allow talented young people to obtain an international diploma now and pay for it gradually as they grow professionally. We are pleased to be among the pioneers on this path and to work for the future of young people and the country," emphasised Igor Tykhonov, Chairman of the Board of Creditwest Bank Ukraine.
